Already end of September Autumn skiing on the Rettenbach glacier high above Sölden shines with best snow conditions. Numerous international training teams as well as enthusiastic skiers are eager to finally make their first turns on the freshly groomed slopes. On the red and black slopes of the Rettenbach Glacier, international training teams hone their technique and speed. In addition, experienced hobby skiers can also enjoy the crisp, challenging descents up to the steep World Cup slope. This challenge should only be accepted by proper pros.
The neighbouring Tiefenbach Glacier with its blue and red slopes is comparatively relaxed. The gentler, flatter terrain provides beginners and slightly advanced skiers with the highest level of fun. Hard and delicate can be mixed as desired: The glacier ski area (6SK Seiterkar - SL Seiterjöchl) and the Schwarze Schneid ski tunnel connect the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers with each other and can be reached from each other.
